Thaw

My legs, ears and chin are now almost thawed. 45 minutes of a run at 7:15am successfully froze several body parts, at a chilly 24 degrees at departure. Halfway through the run (with Mason) I was thinking of how nice it would be to be running in Arizona right now. Right now. Not two months from now, because then I'd be sweating bullets. Right now would be nice. But I was still out there...enjoying the frozen boogers dripping from my nose and iced-over eyeballs. At least my eyes worked well enough to spot the SKUNK that happened to be on the other side of the snow berm. Ah crap. Thank the doggie Gods that Mason somehow realized it wasn't a cat and was afraid of Mr. Stinky. I should've looked around to make sure there were no children within an earshot, because what came out of my mouth was only acceptable for a sailor to hear.

Now, run checked off the list, a yummy smoothie down, and kids almost dressed (OK, two are half naked and the third is in jammies), I need to shower and head off to the triathlon I call church. Find entertaining things in the Daily Bread for Murphy to look at. Try to shush Millie from "talking" to the friends behind us. Quietly explain to Murphy that we'll pick up Georgia from Sunday school "pretty soon...right after we walk up to the front." Let the games begin!
