Big girl

Last night was the first night of Millie in her own big girl twin bed. I was in there with her of course. She never used a pacifier. That would be me. A human paci. She slept with us up to this point and I'd roll over in my sleep and paci her back to sleep. Not last night. I had finally decided she was done with the midnight snackies. She doesn't need to eat in the middle of the night - it was just for comfort. Boy was she un-comforted last night. She actually did quite well falling asleep (we talked story, listened for puppies barking, sang songs). It was the every-fricken-twenty minutes of waking up crying (for just a few seconds) from midnight to three that led to me looking like I need two more pots of coffee to get me going today! She is asleep still, at 7:15, so we'll see how long she sleeps in. Crap - why am I not showering now....off I go!
