MRI

Update: All is well!  The MRI looked great and I go back in one year, skip a year, and go one more time.  Then I'm done.  NO more MRIs!  The MRI was easy...as expected, the no food/coffee was the hardest part!  We couldn't be happier!

Tomorrow morning is my two year post op MRI.  I'm slightly nervous, but I think the nerves are stemming from not having food or coffee until after the MRI (about noon).  Also, lying still in the machine for about an hour does not excite me.

As Anjali says,
CONTROL THE CONTROLABLE.

And as Bon says,
WHAT'S THE WORST THAT COULD HAPPEN?

I can control my breathing as I'm lying there.  I can control what I'm thinking about.  I'll do my part to stay camp and breathe deeply.  I'll think happy thoughts.

The worst that can happen?  Aside from in the morning when I yell at my kids due to caffeine withdrawals?  At my appointment (which is at 1:15), Dr. Gruber tells me they found something on the scan.  Then what?  We would deal with it then.  I've been there, done that, and quite successfully, too.

I'm thinking I will be slow and grouchy tomorrow leading up to my 10:15 appointment.

I will be extremely appreciative to Di for watching my kids so Trevor can come with me to the appointment(s).

I will get the the hospital, put on my sexy gown, get my IV, put in my ear plugs and lie in the awesome machine (with the towel over my eyes so I can't see the machine and inch from my head).  I always make songs out of the loud ticks and bangs and tocks.  Sometimes I pretend the noises are little aliens or monsters talking.  Hey, whatever works, right??

Then, I'll get all dressed, and my driver, the best driver ever, will take me directly to the coffee shop.  CAFFEINE.

Trevor and I will go home, regroup, give Di a little break, and then head back down to the Sacred Heart Doctor's Building for my appointment with the neurologist.

Fingers crossed he will pull up the films, say this is this, that is that, and all looks well.

Fingers crossed.

Toes crossed.

Heck, I'll cross whatever the heck I can find!

Updates to come!
