As if I have time/energy for fashion...
I want to BE this style. I love it. From the clutches to hair accessories to belts to table settings. Or perhaps I just want to have a waist again on which to wear a belt. And the clothing line comes out in August! I'm due in August. Perfect timing!

Bunk Beds
Georgia and Murphy slept hard in the bunk beds! While there is a trundle, Millie prefers close contact with Trevor and me and is still sandwiched between us in our bed. The second set of bunks will go up next weekend. Fast forward a few years and ALL SIX mattresses will be occupied by Kettrick kids. Oh the trouble I foresee...
Amazing what a little sunshine can do!
Notice something missing!?
Georgia was beyond excited to lose her first tooth. She kept saying, "I can't believe my tooth is actually out!" Georgia said "It was magic that the tooth fairy found my tooth at the lake!" Right after the tooth came out, she wrote a note asking the tooth fairy if she could keep her tooth (because she has a little porcelain tooth container she's been dying to put a tooth in since she got it years ago!), and the tooth fairy did leave the little chicklet behind. First kindergarten graduation, now this!? We officially have a big kid!

Lake Retreat
We're at the lake. After a up-all-night kind of night with Millie (thankfully Georgia and Murphy pass out for at least nine hours once their heads hit the pillow!), we were up at 5:45am, completely tired and in a daze. She has the start of a cold but in my book, that's no excuse for her major attitude! At least she's a happy camper today so far. And a camper she will be, outside, tonite if this routine of tossing and turning and saying she has to go potty and having a fit once I take her potty and having another fit when I take her off the potty continues. Sheesh.
NOTHING on the agenda today besides playing in the sand, going on jet ski rides (not me...not sure how that would fly with the dizziness factor), going on a walk, and of course napping. This is honestly the first time I looked forward to the lake drive and the two days spent up here. Usually I am hesitant about coming up just because there are a million things I could do at home, and I'm not one to sit and put my feet up. This time is different! After a hellish week, I (WE!!) are ready for some R & R.
The dogs are in heaven - running the beach with their friends.
The kids will be in heaven once they wake up (the well-behaved two anyway) - running the beach with their (K-9 and two-legged) friends.
Gramma Cheryl will be in heaven when she wakes up and gets tobabysit the kids all day while Trevor and I watch movies and sleep play with the kids.
Grandpa Tom - well, Gramma says he's excited. Not sure he likes the scattering of toys all over the main floor by 6:45am. We (kids and dogs) love playing with him, though. So, there!
Tomorrow night we'll head back to reality to start a crazy busy week for everyone. Expect lot of pictures...the weather is beautiful this morning!

Next stop - the ENT
We finally made it out of our pajamas the house yesterday and headed to the Spokane Club. I was excited to learn the "play area" was open all afternoon (they weren't taking their normal 2:30-3:30 break because of camps going on). That meant I could shower after working out! I checked the kids in and headed upstairs for a treadmill walk and some weights. I hopped in the shower afterward and headed over to get dressed. I bent over to put the towel on my head and....I hit the floor! The room was spinning and I was down. I bonked the side of my head on the corner of the locker and my forehead on my carpet. Down and out. I called for help and a nice lady brought me ice water, and the cleaning lady brought me a fan. A few minutes after sitting and resting I felt sick and threw up. By this time I ran into a childcare lady who stayed with me and got her phone so I could call Trevor. (Side note: I'm NEVER without my phone, and it was lost in the cushions of our couch that morning. I figured - it was a quick trip to the club, and I could continue the search after we got home). Another lady brought me ice in a towel for my neck. Trevor headed downtown to take me to the ER, and the kids were orphaned in the play area for what turned out to be a total of six hours. I was feeling better - still a bit dizzy - but because I threw up twice after bonking my head, we figured it would be safer to be checked out. Heart tests, blood work, blood pressure (although low, which is usual) and fetal monitoring came back normal. The doctor suggested I visit an Ear, Nose and Throat doctor, as he believes I have positional Vertigo. Add one more thing to the list. I can't believe there is something else now. Have I not been through enough!? Now I'm afraid to shower. :0) There, that'll be my excuse. My hair is greasy because I'm afraid to shower! Probably won't be very well received.
Thanks to the play area, my kids were taken care of and fed dinner, entertained and so ready for bed by the time Trevor went to pick them up. Some people are so nice!!
I think, aside from violin this afternoon, we are going to take it easy today. I think I get a pass from working out for the day!

Summer, Edition 1
So, we're day three in to the summer break and I may go crazy. It's funny how I thought the two and a half hours the kids were in school in the mornings was like no time at all. Now I would give anything for that schedule. No, not really. We're enjoying sleeping in and staying in jammies til late morning, but come 1pm the kids are killing each other. So, we head to the store and the park and a walk around the block. Whatever gets us close to dinner time so we can come back and I can make whatever is on the menu and let the kids chill out before "Trevor Lincoln" (as Millie calls him) comes home. We're figuring out the routine of summer, however it will all change this coming Monday after we get home from the lake. Camps start for the big kids and swim team, too. We'll have an agenda for our mornings and afternoons, which will be a nice relief, and a good midday break.
Yesterday I cleaned the whole house. Cleaned to the point of Millie asking me, "you Amanda, mommy?" Amanda was our cleaning lady before I came up with the crazy idea to clean the house myself again. Regardless, it felt like a great accomplishment to do it...until Murphy spilled his apple juice two times within 20 minutes of me mopping the floor. Once on the wood and once on the carpet. Again, praise the Lord for Flor carpet tiles! I've been really good about making dinners too - trying out new recipes and planning ahead. Yesterday, however, was a Qdoba night. Those are allowed, right?
Now, we're off to the Spokane Club so I can work out and the kids can play in the "play area." Whatever works....

Thank you, Weather Man!
For the first time in what seems like forever, we had beautiful weather. The kind of beautiful I wish would last all year (and it would if we were living in San Diego again!). Sunny, warm, a little cool breeze...we were outside all day doing sidewalk chalk, digging in the dirt, pulling weeds, planting flowers, trimming maples, hauling yard waste to the dump (thanks, Trevor), and eating popsicles. We ended the day with a walk up to return movies and, of course, because it's summer break, rent a few more. The seven of us. Millie in the Kelty backpack on Trevor, Murph walking Harley, Georgia on her scooter and me walking Mason. On our way back home it was NOT bedtime, yet Millie was bobble-heading in the backpack, so we opted for a trip to the park to burn a bit more energy before it was really time to crash. The kids met another family, played hide and seek, ran and ran and ran, slid, climbed, and had a blast. When we got home they each powered at least two bowls of cereal - and we're talking a few hours after we ate dinner! Worked up an appetite! Murph and Trevor were out before their heads hit the pillows. Millie was soon thereafter. Georgia wasn't a fan of her movie and watched TV with me (the seven minutes I stayed awake for). Hope everyone is well rested because we're in for yet another gorgeous day! On the agenda: tilling, weeding, coffee with a friend (I think I deserve a break!), and the basement storage room project. Trevor will be looking forward to going back to work tomorrow!
First Grader!
It's official...Georgia is finished with Kindergarten and will be on to first grade in 10 short weeks. Where has the time gone!? And there's a wiggly tooth in that mouth to make it even more apparent she is no longer a little kid!
So proud of you, GA!
